Engro recruited Laura Funck as Jackpocket's SVP People in June 2023, bringing senior People leadership to a rapidly scaling and regulated consumer technology company.

What followed the hire.
DraftKings announced its approximately $750M agreement to acquire Jackpocket roughly eight months after she joined and closed the transaction about eleven months after. Laura continued into DraftKings HR leadership. The acquisition was an independent corporate transaction; we do not suggest the hire caused it.
